At the water’s edge…

Take in beautiful views over Portishead’s Quay Marina as you dine, drink and relax at our contemporary pub restaurant. Built from converted shipping containers, our pub’s interiors mix industrial chic with creature comforts like cosy leather armchairs. We serve up leisurely lunches on our nautically-inspired outdoor terrace, hearty Sunday roasts, and delectable evening meals in our upstairs restaurant. Or just pop in for coffee and cake! Your dog is welcome to join you in our downstairs areas. Just let us know when you’re booking a table, and we’ll find the perfect spot for you.

Our Menus

Here at Hall & Woodhouse Portishead we take our food seriously, whether it’s a generously-portioned classic Sunday roast, a tempting light lunch, or a memorable evening meal for a special occasion. Our chefs work with seasonal ingredients to reinvigorate traditional pub food, offering familiar favourites alongside imaginative fine dining dishes. Dine by candlelight in our atmospheric upstairs dining room, with fine views over Portishead’s Quay Marina. Enjoy small plates in the bar with friends. Or spill out onto our waterside terrace for a leisurely lunch in the sunshine.

Our Coffee

You’re guaranteed a decent brew at Hall & Woodhouse Portishead, because we take making coffee just as seriously as we take pouring the perfect pint. Our ‘Rocket Espresso’ is an 100% Arabica blend from our friends at Extract Coffee Roasters, who work with a co-operative project benefiting families in Peru. It’s delicious as well as ethical, with a natural sweetness complemented by full-bodied notes of chocolate and caramel.

Our Beers

Drink in the taste of the Dorset countryside by sampling our Badger beers, which were first brewed by local farmer Charles Hall in 1777. Created from hops, malted barley, and pure spring water that’s naturally filtered through the chalk downs of Dorset, they’re a firm favourite. At H&W Portishead, we offer a full, distinctive and delicious range, including our new Outland beers, which are imaginatively flavoured, and far from ordinary.
